Friday 6th July 10.00am and its 31.5deg hot!
Moved on to Zacopane. Weather good and the Hotel Tuberosa is lovely and done in the 1920's style. We arrived about 12.30pm. went and had a look in the town and within 2 hours had a look in 2 shoe shops and got 2 pairs in the bag! They are so cheap just can't resist a bargain! The hotel has a restaurant and we had a meal it was fantastic!
Saturday 7th July weather still good.
10.00am walked to the end of the road where there are ski jumps and also the start of some walks. We walked from this valley into the next which was approx 11km. Beautiful scenery here. Got back to the hotel 3.30 pm and knackered.
Sunday 8th July
Quiet day today as i was aching a bit. Did a bit of shopping of souiveners, there was a thunderstorm and out came everyones plastic pixie stlye raincoats! all the colours of the rainbow.. we just headed for the nearest bar!
Monday 9th July
Another walk from where the ski jumps start although we went the opposite way towards the cable car station. Its a longer walk and quite hard going agian. this time it was about 14k. Such lovely views again.

Tuesday 10th July  My Birthday!
Left Zacopane after enjoing a lovely few days. Made our way to our next destination in Slovakia.
The High Tatra mountains. Hotel is good and the room is big. Had a look around the cable car station and then around the village. We felt a bit hungry so had a snack, Gary had pork knuckle and I think it would have done a family of four!

Our 2012 European Tour of some mountains

Tuesday 3rd July
Got up at 5.30am to get going. Polish border 11.00am starting to get warm in the car then realised all vents were closed no wonder we were feeling drowsy! No traffic where does it all go? and just realised I had forgotten to pack the binoculars proberley see loads of bears, wolves, bison, lynx etc.. now, remembered everything else!
40 minutes into Poland and stopped by Police..oh dear what have we done. No Polish, no english and no lights! Policeman asked "do you have Zolty?." 100 zolty. Gary said  " how much really no too much!" I said " just for having no lights!" Policeman then waved us on. He must have thought it was just too much trouble as we didn't know the language. He lost out on a few beers that night!
Arrived in Kracow in a thunderstorm with hailstones and 32deg phew its very warm and humid, and extremly hot in our hotel room! Now done 1,046 miles so far.
Wednesday 4th July

Caught the tram and got into the main part of the city. Had a good walk around visiting the Castle and the Jewish quarter, lunch was in the garden of a small resturant in the Jewish quarter. Kracow is a lovely City. Bit disappointed this time as there was nothing going on in the main square, but still lots to see again.

lots going on in the evening though!
